My name is Alix Land. I am an ideas-focused graphic designer and typographer based in Winchester. This website is a collection of my commercial and personal projects.
I’m inspired by the fact that designers have a great deal of power over how people view the world and that we have a responsibility to shape our society positively.
I studied Graphic Communication with Typography at the University of Plymouth, which gave me a strong understanding of typography and concept-focused design. Since then, I’ve gained a wide range of experience working for clients in the public, private and third sectors. I am currently working at a design agency in Winchester.
Elsewhere, I write Design Think, a blog about design and life as seen through the eyes of a graphic designer and I run What Designers Look Like, an initiative aiming to make a collection of designers’ faces all in one place.
