Alix Land

My name is Alix Land. I am an ideas-focused graphic designer and typographer based in Winchester. This website is a collection of my work designed whilst freelance, in-house and working at agencies.

I’m inspired by the fact that graphic designers have a great deal of power over how people view the world and that we have a responsibility to shape our society positively.

I studied Graphic Communication with Typography at the University of Plymouth, which gave me a strong understanding of typography and concept-focused design. Since then, I’ve gained a wide range of experience working for clients in the public, private and non-profit sectors. I am currently working at a design agency in Winchester, but will be relocating to Vancouver, BC in June 2018.

Elsewhere, I write Design Think, a blog about design and life as seen through the eyes of a graphic designer and I run What Designers Look Like, an initiative aiming to make a collection of designers’ faces all in one place.
