Association of Jewish Refugees

Association of Jewish Refugees needed a respectful identity that appeals to the older generation, while also attracting younger members. The brandmark draws on the Jewish tradition of lighting a candle to remember loved ones. It acts as a reminder to keep passing the story down through generations. I combined this with a simple humanist typeface that is modern yet respectful.

Typography

Throughout the brand identity I employed tints of colour and italics in typographic designs to bring out the meaning of the words.
